A furious mother in the UK shot breast milk at a woman who told her to move while she was breastfeeding because it was distracting her husband. The incident is said to have happened in a park in Dartford, Kent this week and was later reported on a local Facebook forum. The post states: ‘To the lady in Dartford park who thought it was appropriate to breastfeed her baby whist my child and very easily distracted husband sat nearby. I don’t think it was necessary for you to react the way you did just because I asked you to go somewhere private, telling me to [shove] off and squirting me with your boobs was incredibly uncalled for. I hope you are ashamed of yourself!’ The post has since caused a storm among locals with many coming to the defense of the breast-feeding mother while others have criticized the ogling husband. Guidance on the National Health Service England website tells parents: ‘You shouldn’t ever be made to feel uncomfortable about breastfeeding in public.” And the law is on the mother’s side (not for the milk squirting part, of course). A recent law protects the rights of breastfeeding mothers, who cannot be discriminated against in public by being asked to leave cafes, shops or public transport.
An Israeli biker with a long history of traffic violations tried to cut off his fingertips in an attempt to avoid identification when he was pulled over last week in Jerusalem for yet another driving offense on Sunday. In addition to slicing the tops of his fingers, the 21 year old, provided officers with a counterfeit driver’s license when he was pulled over for speeding. Despite his best efforts, police succeeded in identifying the man, who was driving on a license that had been suspended for his involvement in a past hit-and-run. It became clear that the driver had been sentenced to eight months’ imprisonment and had his license revoked for five years after he was found guilty of causing a car accident and fleeing the scene. When the man saw a police car following him, he attempted to flee, but was caught after he drove into another vehicle. The man was lightly injured in the collision and was taken to a Jerusalem hospital for treatment. After the suspect was released from the hospital and arrived at the police station, the officers noticed the cuts on his fingertips. The man claimed the injuries were the result of the crash, but the arresting officers disputed the claim, recalling that they had provided the man with initial medical care and had not seen the lacerations.
