Pitch Perfect co-stars and husband and wife-to-be Anna Camp and Skylar Astin opted to forgo the bachelor-bachelorette party tradition of getting rowdy separately for a joint celebration in each other’s arms. The longtime couple shared snapshots from Saturday night’s festivities on Instagram, where they were joined by their bridesmaids and groomsmen for a country-themed rendezvous.  Anna and Skylar kicked off their day in the company of close friends, as the ladies posed for selfies during Anna’s bridal shower and the boys took a dip in the pool. Later on, Camp and Astin came together for a fun-filled evening of country line dancing that surely provided lifetime-lasting memories for the entire wedding crew. Of course, Anna’s pitch perfect best friend Brittany Snow was there! She shared a picture on Instagram of the two of them captioned, My favorite little elf is getting married & I’m really serious about her bridal shower. I love you so very much my @therealannacamp #happycampers #awkwardFace #littleknocks” Anna and Skylar announced their engagement on Instagram after ringing in the New Year together.

Gabby Douglas has had enough. After apologizing last week for perceived disrespect when she didn’t place her hand over her heart for the “National Anthem” at the medal ceremony, the 20-year-old Olympian is tired of her online criticism. Douglas spoke to reporters over the weekend about the online bullying she has received throughout the Rio games. She said, “I tried to stay off the internet because there’s just so much negativity. Either it was about my hair or my hand not over my heart [on the medal podium] or I look depressed. … It was hurtful. It was hurtful. It was. It’s been kind of a lot to deal with.” The gold medalist seems surprised by the response from critics, saying, “I’ve always said it was an honor to represent the U.S. You always do this for your country, and then, like people say, for yourself and other people.” After speaking with reporters, Douglas was spotted by an ESPN writer, going down the hall and crying in a corner. Just last week, the gymnast took to Twitter to apologize after being criticized for her behavior at the medal ceremony. “In response to a few tweets I saw tonight, I always stand at attention out of respect for our country whenever the national anthem is played,” she wrote. “I never meant any disrespect and apologize if I offended anyone.”

Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte and three other US swimmers were safe and cooperating with police Sunday after being robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro. One of the bandits reportedly went so far as to put a gun to Lochte’s forehead. Lochte and his fellow swimmers had left a hospitality house hosted by France early Sunday in a taxi bound for the Olympic Village. The vehicle was “stopped by individuals posing as armed police officers who demanded the athletes’ money and other personal belongings,” said U.S. Olympic Committee spokesman Patrick Sandusky. It was when the other swimmers were forced to the ground and Lochte refused that one of the robbers cocked a gun and put the barrel to his head. Rio de Janeiro civil police told CNN they have opened an investigation, a few hours after first learning about the robbery from the media and had not been contacted by the USOC. He released a statement via Twitter thanking family, friends, and fans for their support. Part of which read, “While it is true that my teammates and I were victims of a robbery early Sunday morning, what is most important is that we are safe and unharmed.” You can get to the full statement through our twitter on WBTI.com.
