Teen Adam Boyd from Cheshire, England was able to con his was into the VIP section of Sherlock concert last Friday.
Boyd was attending a concert with some friends only to find out their seats were garbage. The opening act came out and they couldn’t see a thing. A couple drinks later, his frustration grew.
“I looked up and saw the VIP entrance and told my friends “I’m going to try and get up there” but they were calling me an idiot and saying I wouldn’t get in,” said Boyd.
It was one of those moments equivalent to the American, ‘hold my beer and watch this.’ Boyd realized he wouldn’t just be able to sweet
talk his way into the VIP lounge with all the bouncers that were around.
“I needed an excuse, a reason to be let in. I don’t know how the idea climbed to the top of all the other drunken ones I was probably having then, but it came to me to change their wiki page so I was included in it,” said Boyd.
Just minutes before attempting to get by the bouncer he submitted an edit to the Sherlock Wikepedia page listing Adam Boyd as the cousin of the lead singer, Kiaran Crook. He also added to the page that he had been the inspiration for the first hit single, “Live For The Moment.” Ironic much? When Boyd showed the bouncer the page to prove he was family, the bouncer said, “Fair enough,” and let him through.

Boyd said backstage was hectic and not really what he expected, however, he did manage to find a good place to sit.
“There were roped off seats, with more photographers, and people I can only assume were family or friends of the bands, so I just sat there and watched the band, close enough to see the time on their watches.”
