Teens Steal Cake Only to Find Out it’s Cardboard

You can’t have your cake and eat it too. That’s what three teens in Minneapolis learned.

The teenagers walked into Cub Foods in Edina and decided to satisfy their sweet tooth without paying any money. They, in a not-so inconspicuous manner, made it out of Cub Foods with a cake.

They didn’t make it very far in their vehicle. Police were able to pull them over based off of the employee’s description of the car.

Not only did these teens make the mistake of stealing from Cub Foods but they also made the mistake of stealing the wrong cake. These teens successfully stole one large, cardboard cake that was on the counter for display purposes.

They were brought back to Cub Foods by officers. The store decided against pressing charges and let them off with a trespassing notice.

Edina police later shared the incident on social media. #NoCakeForYou
