It’s an amazing story that had an ever cooler ending right here in the Blue Water Area, and it all starts with a wrong number. 
A 23-year-old kid from South Carolina, Justin Campbell, recently graduated from Coastal Carolina University. To celebrate the accomplishment, he had to get some pics all decked out in his gown and cap to send off to family and friends. But for one of the text messages, Justin accidentally mixed up two number and shot off some pictures to a complete stranger.
On behalf of the whole internet, I want to thank you for that Justin!
The recipient of the accidental text was Roger Hawkins, a dude from Columbia, SC who had never met the new graduate. It’s easy for people to get a little frustrated with wrong numbers, but Roger just isn’t that kind of guy. He shot a supportive message right back along with a link to some inspirational quotes!
It’s a neat story and Justin had to share it on Twitter. His tweet went viral and as of now has 95,000 likes and 33,000 retweets. And if the story ended there, it’d still be pretty heartwarming.

In another happy accident, Justin forgot to block out Roger’s number in the screen grabs. So a TON of people now had the South Carolina number and of course had to use it. You’d think he’s be a bit miffed that his digits are out there for all to see, but living up to his carefree reputation Roger took it all in stride and responded to them with more of that positive attitude that has earned him the adoration of over 95,000 Twitter users!
And since he seemed cool with it, even Kacie and I got in on the messaging! Roger didn’t disappoint either, getting back to both of us within the hour!
And in case you were wondering, yes we totally friended him on Facebook and we’re STILL talking to him as I post this! Roger and are currently texting each other about our similar stellar taste in sunglasses.
