As you might have seen shared all over social media, it came out that Beyonce has to change her email every week. A lot of people were surprised she has to do this and British singer/recent collaborator with Bey, Ed Sheeran, chimed in to say that she is “very good” at hiding.
Creating the remix of “Perfect” with the Queen of Secrecy, and the highest paid woman in music, wasn’t easy. Sheeran went on to say that the whole email fuss was, “quite blown out of proportion.”
He opened up about how many hoops he’d have to jump through just to discuss the song via email. There isn’t some celebrity directory where you can see updated contact info for everyone. He explains, “There is someone that I email who gives me her new email.”
The “A – Team” singer says while getting a hold of his collaborator was more difficult than he’s used to, he understands why.
When he was asked by E! what working with Beyonce on the “Perfect” remix was like, he said, “her talent kinda knows no bounds.” As he told us, “She’s such a friendly person and super, super talented.”
While Beyonce has to change her email every week from her stardom, Ed Sheeran is picking up his accolades too. Recently he was a recipient of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire from Prince Charles. An MBE is a class 5 in the ranks of honors in the British Empire. Sheeran joins other musical legends, The Beatles, as a member.
He was given this honor for his donated efforts in charity and musical accomplishments. Sheeran supports 5 major charities along with multiple smaller projects on the side. He is a major contributor to Musicians On Call, ONE Campaign, and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
