People ate up Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two, the official script book for the play of the same name. That shouldn’t surpise anyone; true fans of J.K. Rowling will eat up any new content about the Wizarding World. For instance, the latest movie “Fantastic Beasts” did ridiculously well in the box office. But the best addition to the HP series might be from Botnik Studios. Their AI-generated text prediction program has given the world the best gift this holiday season in the form of this gem:
A computer writing its own fanfiction? WHAT SORT OF DARK ARTS IS THIS? Well, think of all the funny predictive text statuses that have become all the rage on Facebook, and you’ll have an idea of how this works. The algorithmic tool developed by Botnik Studios was trained using the seven books in the series.

While the short story is grammatically correct, the content is hilarious and yet still reads almost like it came from the mind of rather imaginative writer. “The only sounds drifting from Hagrid’s hut were the disdainful shrieks of his own furniture,” would normally be a weird sentence, but it’s something that could feasibly show up in Rowling’s work! The end result is a little over three pages that every HP fan needs to read. Do yourself a favorite and check it out for yourself but using the twitter link above.
