Demi Lovato’s 2018 Tour Includes FREE Group Therapy For Fans

We love Demi Lovato and not just because she asked us to. The “Tell Me You Love Me” Tour with DJ Khaled and special guest, Kehlani, will kick off Feb. 26th in San Diego.

The musical part of the tour isn’t the only thing kicking off in San Diego, so is free therapy with CAST before the concert. If this sounds familiar it’s because she already did this once on her “Future Now” tour with Nick Jonas. She saw the impact that these free sessions had on fans and was more than willing to offer these services a second time. “I want to do this because one, it was such an incredible experience the last time we did this on tour,” said Lovato.

CAST members will help facilitate different types of group therapy workshops. Different speakers from all walks of life will be there to aid concertgoers through whatever mental health or addiction issues they are struggling with.

“I make it my life goal to inspire other people,” said Demi Lovato. The 25 year-old singer has not been shy about dialogue concerning mental health. She is a huge advocate of youth outreach and CAST Centers, located in Los Angeles. Lovato is not only a co-owner of CAST Centers but she is an alumna. She did a turn in 2011 when she was struggling with addiction and her new (at the time) diagnosis of bi-polar disorder. After really throwing herself into the program she had a complete turn around. Now, she wants to open up her tours as a place where fans can get help they need accessibility to. All you need is a concert ticket and you are eligible to attend.

“I’ve actually met people that go to CAST because they went to CAST on tours and realized they needed to get sober or they needed to better themselves in some other way and it’s changed lives and I want to be able to do that again. It’s a part of my whole…life, about giving back and I think it’s really important that I continue to do this while I’m on tour,” she said in an interview with Good Morning America.

“I think that it’s important for me to use my voice for more than just singing. I just know how important it is to use my platform to help others and to share my story in hopes that it inspires people to either get into recovery or better themselves. Whatever it is, I just want people to know they’re not alone and I’m here for them.”
