Jack Pearson might be everyone’s fictional husband role model but Josh Duhamel just showed everyone how to be a real-life role model ex.
In case you missed it, Sunday evening Fergie opened up the NBA All-Star game with the National Anthem and it fell flat. If you missed her performance of the National Anthem, here is it.
She has received a lot of backlash in regards to her eccentric rendition of the National Anthem. After the game and article bashing Fergie circulated, Josh Duhamel showed up at her door step and not empty handed to try and console the singer. Duhamel brought his ex-wife a beautiful bouquet of pink and red roses with a sweet card attached that read, “I love you.” He was there to drop off their 4-year old son, Axl who also had something kind for his mom. Axl carried a card that said, “I love you always and forever mommy.” with a smiley face written on it.

The couple was married for eight years before they split back in September and said in a statement, “With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the two said in a joint statement at the time. “We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.” Way to go Josh for keeping that promise to be true.
E!News reports that Fergie released a statement talking about her performance saying, “I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem, and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA.”
“I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.”
