Ed Sheeran ignited marriage rumors while attending the 2018 BRIT Awards.
The “Shape of You” singer was spotted wearing what appears to be a wedding band during a performance in London. He was photographed wearing the same ring on his fourth finger left hand (again) at the 2018 BRIT Awards.

Cherry Seaborn was by his side throughout the evening so it was not made clear if she had a wedding band on in addition to her engagement ring. Before Sheeran accepted his award for Global Success he gave Seaborn a quick kiss. On stage, he was sure to thank his love. Sheeran and Seaborn had got engaged and managed to wait weeks before telling the public.
He told the news to his Instagram followers in January when he said, “Got myself a fiancé just before new year,” Sheeran wrote alongside a sweet photo of the couple. “We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.” Fans would not be surprised if he pulled a fast one on them again. However when Sky News forwardly asked about the ring Sheeran said, “It’s an engagement ring.” He continued to explain he just felt like they should both have one. When confronted about when the big day would be Sheeran told Sky News that it would be “a situation like this where no one knows.”
Was that him secretly telling us he is bluffing?
Sheeran and Seaborn have a love story that covers decades. The couple met in high school back in the UK. Life tore them apart time and time again being continents apart. In 2015 Taylor Swift had a Fourth of July party in which they were reunited. The couple celebrated their 1st anniversary at Taylor’s next Independence Day party, appropriately.
Married or not, we love their story and wish them nothing but the best!
