Valderrama’s car was seen entering into the more-private staff parking lot at Cedar Sinai Hospital in downtown Los Angelas where is ex-girlfriend is currently a patient. This hospital is known for it’s ability to provide privacy to those who need it.

Lovato is still at the hospital receiving treatment after being administered Narcan at a Hollywood Hills residence for an overdose. A close friend to Lovato had some Narcan on-hand after concern began to grow in case something like that happened. Thanks to the fast action of her friends on Tuesday morning, Lovato was brought to a stable condition. Many friends and family have since taken their turn in visiting her while she undergoes the remainder of her treatment, including her first love.

According to eye witnesses in Cedar Sinai, Valderrama stayed with Lovato for two hours. The source says, “He was somber and quiet and you could tell he was in a very serious mood.” The actor both arrived and left the hospital alone. After his visit, he grabbed lunch in Encino, CA with no change to his sad mood.

In the documentary, “Simply Complicated,” Lovato talks about how Valderrama was her rock when she first began battling her addictions. He was a large reason for her success in treatment, providing a solid foundation of support.

The power couple dated for six years before calling it quits in 2016. They have remained good friends ever since. Friends have speculated before that they wouldn’t be surprised to see the couple end up together again. Lovato says in Simply Complicated, “I still love Wilmer. I don’t know if I’ll lose him for the rest of my life. I think my heart’s always with Wilmer. ”

“I’m pretty sure that I’m not gonna meet anybody that compares to him, but I’m trying to keep an open heart and an open mind when it comes to that,” she continued to say.

Fans of the couple are happy to see that he still cares about her and hoping that he sticks by her side as she recovers. The last time she was hospitalized for substance abuse was over 7 years ago. She entered a sobriety program soon after.

She recently celebrated six years of sobriety. Weeks later, she dropped a new single, “Sober.” It revealed she had broken her sobriety. She released the track to not only inspire fans but to inspire herself to get back on track.

A statement released by Lovato’s representative said, “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.” Original reports circulating claimed Lovato suffered from  a heroin overdose because Narcan was administered. TMZ backtracked and found out heroin was not the cause of her overdose.

Lovato has been transparent in the past about her substance abuse with alcohol and cocaine along with the struggles of identifying the highs and lows of her bi-polar disorder. Narcan is a reversal drug used for opioid overdoses and can be used in association with cocaine but not to directly treat cocaine or alcohol overdoses. Cocaine being laced with opioids is a practice that has increased drastically over the last three years.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” reads the statement.
