There’s a new baby on the block!
Actress, Hilary Duff, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Thursday, October 25th. This mom decided she wanted to do an at-home birth and delivered inside her Los Angeles home.
Baby Banks is her second child but first with boyfriend, Matthew Koma. We didn’t officially know of Banks’ arrival until she posted a sweet photo to Instagram yesterday evening. She said, “This little bit has fully stolen our hearts! She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic.”
She did however, tease the arrival of Banks by posting a short snapchat video of Koma playing guitar with the caption, “Dad.”

Her full name is Banks Violet Bair. When Koma shared the photo to his page he said, “We welcome a beautiful daughter, little sister, and best friend for life. Could not possibly be more grateful for our growing family and for the ???? who makes it all possible. Cloud ten.”
The couple has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first born together. Banks’ brother, Luca, is excited to be a brother and had his own thoughts on what she should be named. Duff told James Corden, “Luca thinks Cofant Croissant is, like, the coolest name.”
“He told his friend at school the other day that he’s having a sister that’s part red-butt monkey,” said Duff to Corden.

Duff has shared much of her journey through Instagram and interviews. It was nice she was able to have a couple days of privacy before letting the world in on the arrival of the newest baby by doing the home birth. She has commented on her pregnancy saying, “Giving love to all mamas who make it look effortless… this journey is hard as hell and also incredibly special…Women are so bad a–, this was just a note to remind myself and remind others how’s strong and beautiful you are! WE GOT THIS.’
Many ask if the arrival of Duff and Koma’s baby will spark an engagement, but they feel no pressure to do so. An insider said to E!News, “They already feel married and don’t feel they need a signed document to seal the deal.” They have mentioned they will eventually get married but their sole focus is on their daughter at this time.
