The Saturday Night Live comedian decided to use his platform to get real about bullying.

On Monday afternoon Davidson got on Instagram and made a candid post about bullying that has happened since his engagement with singer, Ariana Grande. The engagement ended in October but the bullies haven’t stopped.
“I’ve been getting online bullies and in public for nine months now,” said Davidson.
He wrote about how he won’t mention names or retaliate. “I’m trying to understand how when something happens to a guy the whole entire world just trashes him without any facts or frame of reference. Especially in today’s climate where everyone loves to be offended and upset it’s truly mind boggling.”
The comedian has been using his platform to address mental health and he doesn’t understand how people can see that and still use their time to spread negativity. He has publicly addressed his suicidal thoughts and bi-polar disorder on social media, SNL and during his stand-up routines. Davidson says that he does this, “in hopes that it will help bring awareness and help kids like me who don’t want to be on this earth.”

“I’m upset I even have to say this,” he said.
