A Florida woman claims she almost died when one of her breast implants became filled with mold, while the other one ruptured.Anne Ziegenhorn, 44, experienced debilitating symptoms as a result of the moldy implant for years, but doctors couldn’t accurately pin down what was wrong. It wasn’t until she saw a breast implant specialist that her suspicions that her implants were causing all of her suffering were confirmed. Anne first switched from silicone to saline implants in 1998. Within six months of that, she was suffering symptoms and had to get a brain MRI. She was still unaware of what was going on in her body in 2002, when doctors now believe the mold started to grow in her implants. “My breastfeeding caused my kids to be ill,’” she said. “My son, at 19 months old, had a severe kidney infection. He almost died.” Since discovering the cause of the issues her mammograms have looked normal.

The idea came to Paquette and co-founder Moses Lam as a bit of a joke. They chatted to some people who lived abroad in regions with lots of air pollution. Paquette and Lam joked about packaging some fresh Canadian air and shipping it around the world so people could experience it. They put up their first product — Banff air in a taped up Ziploc bag — on eBay. It sold for 99 cents. They tried it again, and, this time, a small bidding war started. The second bag sold for $168 US. Paquette and Lam decided to try and turn it into a legitimate business. Now, canisters of air from Banff and Lake Louise, sell from $15 to $46, depending on the size.
