Restrictions put in place due to the latest wave of COVID-19 in Ontario are starting to be loosened. As of 12:01am this morning, the Ontario provincial government will allow restaurants, gyms, casinos, and movie theaters to reopen. They will be limited to 50-percent capacity. Proof of vaccination and other requirements such as masking also apply. Social gatherings will also be increased to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors. Sporting events and other entertainment venues will be limited to half capacity or 500 people, whichever is smaller.
