An Almont woman is dead after a domestic assault earlier this week in the Village of Capac. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, the 44 year old woman was found unconscious, yet breathing, in a home on South Main Street early Tuesday morning. She was taken to a Lapeer area hospital for treatment of head trauma. In the home there was also another 44 year old female, Raquelle Casillis, from St. Clair County’s Mussey Township, who was arrested. Deputies say the victim and Casillis have been reportedly disputing over a shared relationship with a 44 year old man living at the residence. The victim died yesterday while recovering at the hospital. Casillias has been arraigned on charges of open murder and remains at the St. Clair County Jail where she has been denied bond.
