The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office says two people are in custody in connection to the death of 3-year-old Matthew Maison. A man and woman were taken into custody Friday after what officials call “significant recent developments” in the case. Matthew was found deceased in his bed inside a Port Huron Township home in February of 2018. An autopsy later ruled the death a homicide. Family members have long called for justice and have received an outpouring of community support in the more than seven years since Mathew’s death. The names of the suspects are being withheld pending formal arraignment but both are being held at the county jail.
