Port Huron Police say a Port Huron 39-year-old is in critical condition at Henry Ford Hospital after he apparently accidentally shot himself. Police investigations reveal that the man was handling a pistol when it went off, shooting him in the abdomen. The incident occurred in the 59-hundred block of Reed Street at about 3:30 pm Wednesday. Officials believe he is expected to survive.
