A St. Petersberg cop interrupted a man as he prepared to use a syringe to shoot up a mixture of liquid cocaine and orange Kool-Aid. Officer Robert Snippe was in a closed park around 1 AM Sunday when he spotted Nathan Moore who was preparing to shoot up with a syringe. When confronted by the patrolman, Moore reportedly admitted to mixing 15 milliliters of liquid cocaine with 25 milliliters of Kool-Aid, adding that he was in the process of injecting the liquid when he was spotted in the park after hours. Moore admitted to having a drug problem and was about to enter a rehab program in the near future. FYI, Moore also tested positive for cocaine.
A 16-year-old Oklahoma boy was listed in serious condition at a hospital Monday after accidentally shooting himself in the leg for the second time in three months. Officers went to a residence and found the teen suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left leg. The victim was conscious, but he was incoherent, and there was a large amount of blood on the bed. Police feared an artery had been pierced, and an officer applied a tourniquet to the teen’s leg to stem the bleeding. The youth was taken to St. John Medical Center in serious condition. The incident was the second time the teen had accidentally shot himself with a handgun. Officers went to his residence about three months ago and found him with a gunshot wound to the leg. That injury was not life-threatening. A police rep did not know where the victim obtained the guns but said the gun used in the first accident had been confiscated and remained at a police station.
