A US fugitive sends a selfie to the police after his terrible mugshot. A man suspected of arson and vandalism sent a selfie to police because he found the photo in his arrest warrant to be unflattering. Donald “Chip” Pugh texted police a photo of himself and wrote “Here is a better photo that one is terrible.” Police in Lima, Ohio, posted the photos to their Facebook page and asked for help locating Mr. Pugh captioned “This photo was sent to us by Mr. Pugh himself. We thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come to speak to us at the Lima Police Department about his charges.” Pugh told an Ohio radio station “Man, they just did me wrong. They put a picture out that made me look like I was a thundercat…or James Brown on the run. I can’t do that.” A Facebook page called “Free Chip Pugh” pokes fun at the situation.

Authorities are seeking to identify a man who robbed a Nashville bank while armed only with a Bible. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said it is working with the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force in an effort to identify the man who walked into a Bank of America branch Friday afternoon while carrying the holy book. The man handed a note demanding cash from a teller. While a weapon wasn’t revealed in any of the surveillance footage, the teller complied and the suspect did leave with an undisclosed amount of money. He then fled in an older-model red car. Police say he dropped the Bible on his way out of the bank. Authorities are asking for help from members of the public to identify the suspect.
