Blake Lively may end up bloodied and bruised in The Shallows, but it’s okay because she still looks smokin’ hot. In the film, she plays a bikini-clad surfer who is fighting off a killer shark while stranded on a rock just 200 yards from shore. Lively shot the thriller eight months after giving birth to her and Ryan Reynolds’ daughter James. Lively says, “I worked out with an amazing trainer Don Saladino. He kicked my butt. It was also eight months after having a baby so my body was already completely different than what it normally was. Not just aesthetically but also your muscles are different, your body, everything is just shifted and changed.” She admits she isn’t sure she would have been hitting the gym if she hadn’t signed on for the project. “It was like training for a marathon, but a marathon is one day,” Lively said. “This was six weeks straight, six-day weeks, no lunch breaks, thirteen-hour days, four-foot waves at all times. By the time I was done with the movie…I had muscles that I had never had before.” And now that she’s eating for two again, she has no problem indulging in treats. “I do have a sweet tooth, but a good sweet tooth—not overly sweet, not saccharine. Like dark chocolate,” Lively said. “I like salty and sweet.”

Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum are pretty much picture perfect—their similar interests in dance, acting and family keeping them going strong for so many years. But there’s one thing the two just simply don’t see eye-to-eye on and that’s food. Jenna is vegan, which likely explains her amazing physique and Channing just can’t. Jenna explains, “He really did try to be vegan for six months. The guy doesn’t like vegetables, which makes it tough. It was hard in the beginning because you want someone to be on the same page, but you’ve gotta let people be themselves.” Dealing with those differences is definitely a big factor in their 11-year relationship, which the actress jokes is like “55 years in Hollywood.” The two originally met while filming their 2006 movie Step Up, in which both Jenna and Channing both played dancers. Moving forward in her career, Jenna hopes to play more physical roles with a lot of action.
