Nelson Cruz broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning with a home run, and the Seattle Mariners went on to beat the Tigers 3-1 on Wednesday night, sweeping a three game series and handing the Tigers their fourth straight loss. JD Martinez had an RBI single, one of just four hits for Detroit in the game. The Tigers begin a three game series in Texas on Friday.
