Stranger buys a $750 Plane Ticket for Little Girl

It got cold on us again here in the Blue Water Area, so how about we warm your hearts?

Achievement Unlocked: Restored Faith in Humanity!

Over the weekend, the Facebook page Love What Matters shared a post about a man who found himself in a terrible bind at the airport. He was picking up his ticket when he was told he’d need to pay for his toddler as well, which caused some confusion. In case you didn’t know, many airlines won’t charge someone for a baby. The father assumed this when he made his purchased four months prior, but was in for a rude awakening when he got to the ticket counter.

See, his daughter’s birthday had come and went, so while he got his ticket when she was still 1 the airline had to make him get a second ticket now that she was 2. As much as the man begged and pleaded, the ticket attendant’s hands were tied. With the high cost of a last minute ticket on his mind, the distraught father stepped out of line clutching his daughter.

Don’t worry, this is the part where it get really, really, happy!

The next customer in line stepped forward, pointed at the little girl, and said she wanted to purchase her ticket! Which was all well and good until the attendant told her the price: a whopping $749! But this didn’t deter the woman at all, who promptly got out her credit card and bought the ticket. The man was overjoyed and asked what he could possibly do to repay this kindness, but the stranger just kept saying “Don’t worry about it,” thus restoring our faith in humanity.

While we don’t know who the man or his daughter is, or even which airport this took place, the internet wouldn’t let the good Samaritan remain anonymous. Someone commented on LOVE WHAT MATTERS post saying this amazing lady was Debbie Bolton, the co-Founder and Global Chief Sales officer at Norwex – a home cleaning product firm.

Add “Amazing Human Being” to that business card.

For the people who know her, Debbie’s act of kindness is no surprise; it’s just the kind of person she is. But on behalf of everyone else on the internet, I want to say thank you Debbie for making this story go from heartbreaking to heartwarming!
