The Detroit Tigers scored five runs in the second inning and never looked back on their way to a 6-3 opening day win in Chicago over the White Sox.  Detroit scored all of its runs on home runs, as Jacoby Jones hit a three run blast, Nick Castellanos a two run shoot, and Ian Kinsler a solo bomb.  Justin Verlander struck out ten for the Tigers, who face Chicago again on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 2:10 PM.
