The Chicago White Sox ripped the Tigers 8-2 on Friday night in the first game of a four game series. The teams were scheduled to play a double header, but the first game was rained out and moved to Saturday. Alex Avila hit a home run and John Hicks singled in another run for the Tigers in the loss.
