
From new 2017 “It” movie.
A “local prankster” has took it upon himself to promote for the movie “It” around town. While some found it humorous, a Pennsylvania police department has requested that he quit tying red balloons to storm and sewer grates.
Lititz Borough Police Department made a Facebook Post about it Tuesday afternoon to let the area know what is going on. They believe it’s all just a prank referring to “It” as the movie’s release approaches. There are no leads on who is scaring locals.

If you haven’t seen “It,” and don’t want a lifelong fear of clowns, here is basically what happens. A town in Maine has a slew of missing children because a clown is luring the kids into the drains with red balloons. Then he attacks them. The adults and police in the town, of course, are just oblivious the whole time. This is probably what makes the prank a bit more terrifying to “It” fans in Lititz Borough.
Just last week, several sightings in over 16 states were reported to police across the country. The Pennsylvania State Police Department issued a statement that recalled, “the creepy clown craze in September 2016 resulted in at least a dozen people arrested in Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia for either taking part in the menacing stunt or for making false reports.” The state police also noted that clown sightings would likely increase as September 8th draws near.
