Move over Justice League, there’s another heroic team making a return to the big screen! Disney and Pixar announced a new superhero movie coming: Get excited for “Incredibles 2” this summer!

I am stupid excited for this!
In this long-awaited 2004 sequel, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) finds herself thrust into the spotlight this time as the new face of a campaign to bring back the supers. While this is happening, Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Neilson) is tackling the unique difficulties of being a stay-at-home dad with an toddler just developing his powers. Aside from Dash who will be voiced by Huck Milner, most of the original cast of the Parr family & friends return. Including Sarah Vowell as Violet, Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, and the film’s writer/director Brad Bird as super fashion guru Edna Mode.
The the of the plot is still a mystery, so we don’t know who the big bad guy or girl will be. But maybe you can glean some details from the portraits of some new characters:

Sophia Bush joins the cast as Voyd, a super-powered superfan of Elastigirl with the ability to create portals. We know how obsessiveness can lead to villainy from the first film (Remember Syndrome?), so maybe we’ll see this again?

Golden Globe Nominee Bob Odenkirk will voice Winston Deavor, who is described as a rich, suave telecommunications bigwig. This is a plot snippet from EW regarding his character: “He has been a supporter of Supers returning—all he needs is a hero (or three) to help him change public perception and bring them back into the sunlight.” But, is this business man really on the up and up?

Catherine Keener will play Wiston’s tech-savvy sister, Evelyn. While her brother may be the head of the company, she’s obviously the brains behind the operation. Now, “The Incredibles” showed us technology versus superpowers, so we could very well see it again. We don’t know what gripe Evelyn could have with supers or specifically Elastigirl’s family. That doesn’t mean she does NOT have one, though!

There’s also Isabella Rossellini’s mysterious character only known as The Ambassador. Aside from being a foreign dignitary in favor of the return of supers, she’s an enigma. Maybe a wildhorse villain!
Honestly, it could be any or none of these new characters. Disney and Pixar have been playing their cards close to the chest on this one. Maybe they’ll throw us a curveball be bringing back Jason Lee’s Syndrome? Lucky for us, we don’t have to wait around too long to find out! “Incredibles 2” hits theatres June 15th, 2018. While we’re still in the dark about the villain in this film, one this will always be crystal clear:
