A house fire Monday afternoon in Sanilac County has claimed the life of one. Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies and area fire departments responded to the house fire in the 2000 block of West Applegate Road in Marlette where they found the homeowner deceased outside the residence, which was totally engulfed. The Michigan State Fire Marshall is assisting in the investigation of the fatal fire.
