Gas prices across Michigan are up again over the past week. AAA of Michigan reports the current statewide average gas prices is about $2.93 per gallon, which is seven cents more than last week and 52 cents more than the same time last year. The lowest prices in the state can be found in Traverse City, the highest prices are in Ann Arbor. Locally, pumps in Lapeer are asking $2.91 per gallon, gas is $2.95 in Sandusky, and in the Port Huron area are around $2.89 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
