Gas prices down about a dime

Drivers will have a little relief at the pumps this week, as AAA of Michigan reports the statewide average daily gas price has decreased for the first time in over a month. The auto club the current statewide average daily gas prices is about $2.99 a gallon, which is 11 cents less than last week’s average and 48 cents more than the same time last year. Across the local area, pumps in Lapeer are asking about $2.95 per gallon, it’s $2.99 in Sandusky, and here in Port Huron pumps are asking about $2.89 for a gallon of regular unleaded. Across the state, the highest prices can be found in Ann Arbor and the lowest in Grand Rapids.
