Netflix has given a fan favorite a chilling twist.

The major streaming service has released a trailer and first-look images for the reboot of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” called, “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” Starring, Kiernan Shipka, the reboot takes the spooky route unlike the popular, bubbly early 2000’s sitcom on ABC.
These dark tales of Sabrina Spellman are based off of the Archie Comics which first made their debut in 1969. “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” will be created by the showrunner of another popular show, Riverdale. Netflix describes the reboot as, “Tonally in the vein of ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ and ‘The Exorcist,’ this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the daylight world humans inhabit.”
Set to play her human love interest is the My Friend Dahmer, actor, Ross Lynch. He will reprise the roll of Harvey Kinkle, who in the original sitcom, is what ties Sabrina to her human half. Lucy Davis and Miranda Otto are billed to bring back Hilda and Zelda Spellman, respectively. Unfortunately, it looks like in this Netflix adaptian, the cat won’t be talking. No actor is billed as Salem.
On Oct 26, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” will begin to work its magic on the world. #CAOS NEW PHOTOS: pic.twitter.com/b4XpSxCbb6
