A Port Huron boy could be facing charges after making false reports of an attempted abduction late last week. The Port Huron Police Department says the 12 year old reported an attempted abduction in the 600 block of Minnie Street Thursday Morning on his way to school. The boy claimed that a man tried to grab him. Police used a K-9 unit to search the area but was inconclusive. The boy was taken to the police department where he was questioned and admitted to making up the story in an attempt to not have to walk to school. The twelve year old was released to his parents Thursday and charges are pending.
