Suspects in Lapeer County burglary arrested

Both a Marysville and North Branch man are in custody after an attempted burglary at a Lapeer County home. According to the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department, 43 year old Randy Auchmuty of Marysville and 46 year old James Kedzierski of North Branch are believed to have entered a vacant house on Barnes Road in Lapeer County’s Rich Township Monday July 1st. Sheriff’s deputies were called by a neighbor regarding a suspicious vehicle at the vacant home and the two were questioned by authorities. Several items from the house such as copper piping, jewelry, and other valuables were seized and the two men were taken into custody. Auchmuty and Kedzierski are both being held in the Lapeer County jail on $20,000 and $10,000 dollars bond respectively and will each face one count of burglary charges.
