The search continues for the body of an East China Township man who went swimming in the St. Clair River Friday and is presumed drowned. According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office, 21 year old Riley Gleason went missing Friday night after entering the river from a vessel just north of the boardwalk in St. Clair. Gleason reportedly went for a swim but struggled with the current of the river. Other occupants of the boat attempted to rescue him but were unsuccessful. Searchers combed the area of the St. Clair River for the past three days but were unable to locate his body. Crews from other surrounding county’s dive teams are assisting in the effort.
