Gas prices in Michigan have dropped 14 cents in the past week to a statewide average of $2.51 a gallon. That’s 14 cents less that at this time last month and 29 cents less that at this time last year. Gas is the most expensive in Ann Arbor at $2.61 a gallon and the cheapest in Saginaw at $2.38 a gallon. Locally, Port Huron area pumps are around $2.49 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. AAA of Michigan says lower demand and lower prices of crude oil have contributed to the decline.
