The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Detroit is warning residents to brace for more record-breaking high water levels this year. Lakes Michigan and Huron set records for high water levels last year, while Lake St. Clair tied the record set in 1986. Officials say a warmer January has led to greater runoff and reduced evaporation across much of the Great Lakes. That means the lakes are expected to rise to new record levels over the next six months. For more information, visit www.lre.usace.army.mil .
