COVID-19 caseload seems to be flattening locally

It’s the third straight day of single digit increases in the number of new coronavirus patients in the Blue Water Area. Two new cases were confirmed in St. Clair County Wednesday as well as one new death. That brings the current number of county-wide positive test results to 234 people with now 8 attributable deaths. Two new cases were also confirmed in Sanilac County, bringing the total there to 25 patients with the number of deaths holding stead at two. In Lapeer County, there are 125 cases and 10 deaths as of Wednesday afternoon. That’s up 8 cases and 1 new death.  The statewide count is now in excess of 28,000 positive people with nearly 2,000 deaths.
